How has been "Incarnation of Evil" received in the underground?
Till now everything works excelent for us. We already spread a lot of copys and got great feedback from fanzines, distros, fans etc.! We´re very pleased with it!!!

Which are the main improvements of the band´s music compared to the one
in the "Blood is Flowing" rehearsal tape or in "United Forces of Metal
Raging War - Split 7" "?

The band growed musicaly through all the years so I think this is the main difference between all the release. We still do the same music as when we started and we always will do so but it gets stronger from release to release.

How are the new members, Volker and Udo, skills compared to the one of the previous members?
Well, Udo is already out of the band! But this was a personal wish of him and has nothing to do with the band! Well Volker is an old friend of us who played in several bands the years so for us he has the right background to fit into a band like Witchburner. I don`t wanna talk about all the older members it`s not interesting to the readers and I´m fed up with them!

Did the departure of Tankred Best change the way in which you used to

compose your music?
No, the music is still the same! I think the left of Tankred B. was a good point for the band! Simon S. was always doing the main part of the music so there are no big differences. And the new members brought a lot of great ideas into the band, too!

What are the lyrics in "Incarnation of Evil" about?
Just about everything that deals with death, war, witches, incarnation, sex drugs and metal and total destruction!!!! WAR NOW!!!

What can you tell me about your first demo "Future tales"?
Well, this Demo was never released offical as thwe sound was just to bad!
You`ll find three tracks on it which are mostly in the same vain as the Witchburner Debut Cd/LP. At this time the band had only two members so the arangements were not that sucesful!

Do you think that Witchburner´s music is meant to play in live shows?
For sure! Pure Metal is meant to be played live!

Why did you choose Undercover Records to release your albums?
Well, Alex of Undercover Rec. was an friend of our old guitarist and when he came up with the idea of starting a lable he asked us first! We got in contact with several lables but we thought it would be the best to do the second Cd on Undercover Rec. as he lives not far from us and the conditions were fine, so we did it!

Which are your main influences as a band?
Old Thrash Metal for sure but also topics like war, death etc.! Everything we`re pleased to!

Are you planning to release your older demos or splits on a CD for the fans to have them?
No! We don`t like this re-release shit! The stuff was out on vinyl in a limited edition and thats it! If anybody is interested in our old stuff he has to look around for it!

SOmething more to add?
Thanx for the interview! If anybody is interested in our stuff get in contact with us
