I would like to thank Anne Marie Bowman from Manic Prod. For getting us the possibility of doing this interview
How has been the reception to "Misanthropic Carnage" in this months?
Well the promos have been shipped about a month ago and the album has been in stores since September 2. The reactions so far have been great, until I read only one bad review. If things go on this way we will be very pleased!
How was the USA tour? Did you have the opportunity to play in front of different audiences?
The US tour was great, it was a real death metal underground tour together with Deeds of Flesh, Disgorge(US) and Disavowed. The turnout was good. We did one show where we had the opportunity to play for an mixed audience, that was the New England metal and hardcore fest. The response there was great too. I believe that this tour has been good to spread our name to the death metal fans in the US and Canada.
Which are the problems that you are having in Switzerland with the artwork?
The promoter of the show in Switzerland, where we play as support for Cannibal Corpse, says that our artwork is digusting and very offensive and show no respect for other human beeings. He doesn't want us to play there, I can't understand why because CC is allowed to play.
Already a lot of fans from Switserland have showed us their support and will not go the show.
Are you still going to continue the European tour with Cannibal Corpse, Dew Scented and Viu Drakh?
Ofcourse, it is only one show that we are not allowed to play, so there are still 28 shows left. This tour is the perfect way to get to the death metal fans in Europe who don't know us yet. And we always wanted to tour with our friends of Cannibal Corpse.
Which are the main differences between the music in "Misanthropic Carnage" and on the "Butchery of the Soul" CD?
Well, the difference is that "Butchery is an mcd that contains two 7", a video and a cover of "Perverse Suffering"from Cannibal Corpse. And Misanthrpoic Carnage is our new full-length. So let's go to the next question and that will contain the answer to this question also.
How would you compare "Misanthropic Carnage" with "Feasting on Blood"?
The new album is more mature, the music is more diverse. The faster parts are faster and there are also more changes between fast and "slow" parts. Also we have grown as musiscians, we play our instruments better tham on Feasting. We also have managed to write songs that are more recognicable, after hearing them once or twice you will recognice the "melodies".
Which are your memories on the "Pray for Nothing" EP?
The songs that are on that EP weren't meant to be released officially. We recorded those songs to spread to record compagnies, in order to get a deal. But we got so may demands that we decided to release it.
We did manage to get a deal with that EP, so my memories are very good!
Do you have some unreleased material from your recording sessions that you plan to release in the near future?
We did record 2 cover songs, but I am not gonna tell you which because we don't know yet what we are gonna do with them. So let's keep it a surprise. We didn't write extra songs because we wanted to concentrate on the material that we had, so we could make sure that we were totally pleased with the songs.
Thanks a lot for the interview. Do you want to add something more?
Thanx for your support. To all readers go and buy our new cd Misanthropic Carnage, it will blow you away!
Stay drunk and be brutal!!!
