Are you satisfied with the way in which "Refuge" came out? Would you
have changed something?

Charles: I am satisfied with "Refuge." There are some minor things I
would have changed now that I think about it, but nothing dramatic.

How would you describe the musical progression from "Believe" to "Refuge"?
Charles: "Refuge" is a much more mature release than "Believe".
"Believe" was essentially a MCD we recorded on our own to promote to labels. Dark
Symphonies heard it and wanted to release it. I kind of view "Refuge" as
our debut album. It is heavier and the songs are structured better.

How is the relationship with Ron Vento (Aurora Borealis) as a producer?
Charles: Ron is a good friend of ours. He did an excellent job with
"Refuge" considering the circumstances of budget restraints. He has been
very supportive of us over the years.

What did Laurie and Jason bring to Rain Fell Within´s music?
Charles: Jason has a very keen lead guitar sense. He studies classical
instrumentation and is an excellent musician. He only performed on "Into
the Tower" but you will see more of him on the next album. Laurie will be
performing live backing vocals with us. She wrote the lyrics and vocal
melodies to "Passing Time". That is the only song she performed on.
Hopefully, Dawn and her will do something again like that in the future
because it turned out extremely well.

How are the vocal melodies in Rain Fell Within´s music composed?
Charles: Dawn hears the melody in her head when the music is played.
Sometimes she plays the melody on the keyboard before singing it.

Which are your memories on the "Rain Fell Within - Live 97" demo? Are
there any copies left of that recording?

Charles: That was a long time ago. There are no copies left of that
demo. It was never released to the public and never will be. We didn't like the
way it sounded so we recorded "Solemn Days" I do not even own a copy of it.

Is John playing live keyboards only or will he be a permanent member of
the band playing in studio too?

Charles: We are working with John writing new material for our next
studio release. We will see how things go. We are extremely pleased with him,
he is a phenomenal musician.

Any final words?
Charles: Thanks to all our fans who have been supportive over the years.
Thanks for the interview. Take care.
