Hey, the feed back is very good, especially in France and Italy: lots of reviews noticed the arrival of our terrible drummer Barbituric, The true but catchy guitars riffs, and the historical concept too. There're just some "old school" maniacs thinking that sound too "big", "powerful", not so true as they like: I think it's neither a good point!!! The 333 limited tape are sold out now, or about to be sold out. The Cd-r version, ltd to 333 too is still available only nearby the band.

How would you compare "Evil..." with "An opus for Lucifer"?

A better sound, a better promotion (signed at DUKE's), a different (but always insane!) atmosphere fill this tape: more aggressive, more structured. In one word, more thought about, matured. We were 4 four members, a complete line-up; on the contrary, "An opus..." was made by only 2 members, not very experimented towards the production. But there's a heavy, melancholic atmosphere, I think. I like the 2 demos, they are so different! It relates our states of mind during 2 periods of our life which were different.

Nieluge was forced to left because of his lack of work, motivation and his small personal problems bothered the successful progression of the band in the UG. I worked hard for OSIRION and couldn't accept it : so, I found Valharik, a sympathic guy, greater guitarist, and good worker. He followed OSIRION since the debuts, before his integration! Who could understand our music better than him? He brought new ideas with his riffs: I allow him to compose, more than NIELUGE, because he 's more serious. His voice is quite different, but more high-pitched and icy ,better, in fact. And he's really a cool guy: no drugs problems, no money problems with him! He rules, nothing more to add!

Well, I think the 3 elements are very important together: they entirely incarnate the black metal spirit: no gays-soli, no female voices, no keyboard: what does remain? Only raw, primitive, hateful and powerful riffs, carried by a speed drummer.

It's right to notice that our music is more speed now, because of Barbituric's arrival: drums are his profession (he teaches them!) and he works a lot: he plays in a local grindcore band too. He's very creative and brutal! His strikes are living, not"clinic" and lifeless!

The insanity fills my lyrics, whatever the subject: it reflects my frustations, my hate, my disgust born in daily life, with the (enforced) relationship with others humans...

And our riffs are melt a bit with thrash influences: I love Slayer, Kreator, Judas Priest, Sodom, and so on and I think that thrash metal influences can give a kick to the ass of the music: our black is not boring and stereotyped, I think...

As you certainly guess, I composed 80% of Osirion material: Osirion is first my spirit and my passion, my second personality: all the things I can't tell right now, what I think, because of social conventions. Then I write it in hateful lyrics and I compose some riffs in the same vein; and I wish my music stays coherent; but when other musicians bring good ideas, I include them; and Valharik has written 2 tracks himself now: they are right in the OISIRION's spirit.

The guitarists work together; when they are ready, they bring the tracks ended and we try them with the drums; the structure can change a bit. then, Maldoror tries to find something with the bass. There isn't any waste of time! It's been clear since the beginning. That's all.

I can only speak about war, religion (Satanism a lot!), history, misanthropy...And the others singers are more involved in the heroic-fantasy, medieval fantastic... "Evil made History" speaks exclusively about History: it's a concept about the famous (so-called) mad men : Jack the ripper, Neron, the roman emperor.. I just want to show that they are not mad at all, but their ideas are revolutionary, and they deeply shocked the normative and narrow-minded persons. 4 christian "sins" are evocated: the lust (debauchery of Demetrios), the paranoia (Neron), the megalomania (Timur Lang emperor), the curiosity (Jack's experiments with dissections).

We made two great covers too: Dark funeral (The secrets of the black arts) and soon Marduk (Materialized in stone).

Yes, of course, but it's not so easy in France: no support from the public, no structures, the hate of the medias ... We made 2 gigs a year. It's not as often as we'd like to, but lots of (ghosts) french BM bands never appear on scenes at all! They hide themselves behind misanthropy, but we want to spread the black plague, and we must get out of our cave for that!!! And sell our demos too! Recently, we played during 3 gigs, one of them was a big show with famous extreme French bands: we were so happy but we were touched!

Yes! The split happened this summer! It's a terrific idea from Bruno (Symbolic prod): it includes some unpreviously issued tracks from both bands: In particular, two live performances by OSIRION in 2001. Raw sound by total killer atmosphere For the rest, our set-list is a melt of our 2 demos, with the Dark Funeral cover.

Our future is very good: we record a split vinyl Ep this month. It should be out in Xmas 2003, or later... Then, Kurgan (the boss of Duke) purposes us a Lp vinyl for the spring of 2004: 80% of the tracks are ready. The reedition of "An opus for Lucifer" is soon out too, perhaps limited at Symbolic's.(no limit for the actual edit), with live bonus tracks.
