• GRAND ALCHEMIST, the new masterkillers of Sophisticated Black Metal from Norway have just signed to SOUND RIOT. The full-lenght CD "Intervening Coma-Celebration" (title not confirmed yet) will be released in June/July 2002. The band will take 200 hours at Elg Studios for the recording of this album and they will enter at the studio in 25th of March. The mastering will be done by Tom Kvålsvoll at Strype Studios (same used by Dimmu Borgir, Tidfall, Arcturus, Borknagar, Mactatus, etc) around May. A top professional sound is more than guaranteed for their CD! The album will bring 11 songs, their music is more technical, tighter, faster, varied and symphonic with weight on the melodic and the intensive aspects in the Black Metal and more experimental with clean-vocal but no female voice since that don´t fits their style in all. One of the most promising Norwegian newcomer in years will surprise the metal-audience with one of the most intense albums of the year. The Norwegian artist Tor Baklund will carry the design for the CD, wait for a weird and hypnotic artwork. The official website of the band will get on-line soon.


• REQUIEM "The Arrival" CD is out end of March! The band have played together with Sonata Articta in the beginning of this month. Their album is already getting an excellent outcome before same the release. Just to know a few, Mape of SONATA ARCTICA gave they 8/10 and Intenet Metal Web gave they 9,5/10! Some people (in the music) are already thinking about what the future of Requiem will bring...

• The recording/editing/mixing of the album of GRAYSCALE is finished finally. It was recorded and produced by Sakke at top professional Lala Studios (same of To/Die/For "Epilogue"). "When The Ghosts Are Gone" will be mastered by Mikka at Finvoxx Studios (Amorphis, To/Die/For, etc) in the next month. The artistic part of the CD have been altered since that band prefered to have their own artist to get in tune with their music to give more originality and personality to front-cover and layout of the CD. The designer choiced was Miss Nocturna from Italy, an expert in artworks, websites, video-clips and writing in the Gothic Metal and Electro-ambient scene. • RUPTURE CHRIST have finished the recordings of their album. That have been produced by Dave Boccuzzi of ANOXIA, it is powerful and has a nice brutal unique sound for a Death Metal really of good production. There are 10 songs + intro and some songs titles are: Fetus Fucker, Discharging Parasite Infested Feces, Gorged On Innards and Puss Filled Pussy. Sick not?! And they have still done a cover for "Oozing Vaginal Discharge" of LIVIDITY. Unfortunately it wasn´t possible for Matt LIVIDITY's singer do backup-vocals on it as was planned since that he is very busy with the new recording of LIVIDITY currently. "Molesting The EntrailsOf..." will be mastered by the well known producer Jacob Hansen (Illdisposed, Withering Surface, Without Grief, Autumn Leaves, Hatesphere, etc) at Aanberaa Studios from Denmark, you are sure to be hit with crystal clear yet very heavy production. The front-cover is being done by Jason Juta, fans of the gore/splatter art will enjoy a lot it. Besides that, this release will be an interactive CD-rom featuring song samples, bio, photos, reviews and info of RUPTURE CHRIST and more some others bands of SOUND RIOT as well.

• "Ephemeral Redeemer" can to be the title for the 2nd album of NIGHTSIDE but that is not certain yet. The forthcoming album will feature 7 or 8 songs with a playtime-time around one hour! Wait for an impressive improvement of these guys. Some song tiles are: Deposition through acts of dark, Cosmic hierarchy (of spiritual evolution) and Ravaged Purity. If everything goes fine so, they willl enter for 2 weeks at TMH-Studio in Spring. The mastering will be at Strype Studios from Norway (Emperor, Limbonic Art, Svartahrid, Ulver, Dimmu Borgir, etc). The front-cover for this album will be done by Kris Verwimp (covers for Marduk, Old Man´s Child, etc). By the way, the 1st CD of NIGHTSIDE have received the maximum ratings in Pit magazine and S.O.D. magazine. Their new website should open during spring.

• SATANS BLOOD are thinking to produce a video clip for one of their songs featured in "Christians To Ashes...", that will be something interesting to watch. They are planning to publish this video clip on their homepage yet we are also thinking to make a new version for "Christians To Ashes..." CD including this video as a multimedia track in CD-rom, we will see... At the moment, be sure to read their interview in the latest issue of S.O.D. magazine, killer!

• DEMON CHILD will get a new logo done by Kris Verwimp, it will be showed soon. The booking for the recording of their album have already been done, they will enter at Pop studio (same used by Demigod, Nightside, Fall of the Leafe, etc) to record 8 killer songs in June. After that, the album will be mastered at Masterhuset Studios in Norway (they have worked with Mayhem, Satyricon, Aeternus, etc). The front-cover will follow the "old feeling" with very symbolism and occultism, done by Jason Juta. No doubt, this is the most satanic band in SOUND RIOT! Also, they are planing to do a 7"EP together with the Finnish Black Metal band "Kadotus". Labels interested to release it are more than welcome. Get in touch directly with Deimos.

• ETERNAL GRIEF are planning to record their debut album in the end of the year finally. The album title is not yet official, but the recording will take place in Studio Fullmoon in Uddevalla/Sweden (Grief of Emerald, Runemagick, etc). Some songs that will be featured are: Into The Flaming Sky, Passage of Time, Awakening of Shadows, Beyond the Gates of Dreams, Life Surrounds and Unwritten Chronicle. The band have very experience in studio, their previous Demos were recorded at Poland Studio and Studio Fredman. Their album will be mastered at The Mastering Room AB (In Flames, Haunted, Soilwork, Opeth, etc). The cover art shall to be done by Carlos Del Olmo (same of Soilwork "A Predator's Portrait"). ETERNAL GRIEF has played live with bands as Sacramentum, Prophanity, Taetre, Nightshade, Murk Moribund, Glanzig, Gooseflesh, Enthralled, Transport League, Hellacopters and Immemorial to name a few. • BURIALMOUND have already 10 new songs ready so, almost enough for a new recording. The "idea" for the 2nd album is not yet convinced but it's mainly in the same direction as "Black Death" was. The lyrics are maybe more deeper and mystic, but still done in good old raw style. The band shall enter in Watercastle Studios again during October (1-8th day) and December (2-9th day) to record their 2nd album. Mega Wimp Studios from Germany (Deicide, Seth, Disinter, etc) will do the mastering again as they now know as the band should sound, and maybe next time they can improve even better level! About the front-cover, we haven´t any idea about what artist we will use for it but it will be a drawning with something really evil and dark to fit the atmosphere.

• ERIDU ARCANE have received the proposal of a dedicated and known label from the Gothic/Darkwave scene and for this reason, the band is thinking to take this other label carrying their album now as SOUND RIOT is a more Metal label in all. We agreed with their decision and we wish the best of luck for them! But we will keep our support to they forever.

• After many re-negotiations, LOST IN TWILIGHT have choiced to sign with Hammerheart Records from Holland. But the band have a new monicker now, DEVICE. In despite that, we are happy to see that one of our bands have caught the attention of a bigger label and they have got reach a hightest level in the scene. Success guys!
