BIOGRAPHY:
Dunkelstorn started as a project in 1997 by means of the Núñez Stolles brothers (Julián and Sergio), and became real in mid 1998 with the joining of Martín García Suarez (bass), Lucas Spátola (vocals) y Augusto Miklikowski (guitars). During that year, the first tracks saw the light. Their special effort to make something different, relating to the local scene, and the diverse, logical influences of Dunkelstorm members (Therion, Lacrimosa, Gorgoroth, Samael, Emperor, In Flames, etc) opened up the way to a change which in time would be essential to define the sound, the attitude, and the personality of the band. Along 1999, drums were replaced by programmed percussion, and the personal style of the band's sound became harder. The group devoted their time to develope their so special music and started the hard work of becoming well-known, moving along all spheres in the underground scene in Argentina.
So, they started the year 2000 with clear objectives: to keep playing live and to record the first album.
Their first goal was achieved successfully, since in March 26th, the band had its greatest presentation in
"Planta Alta", filling the room, and sharing the stage with Artes Negras and Inferi.
Later, in mid 2001, the track "Schicksal" was recorded for the compilation "Hidden Ceremony" by Furias
Magazine. Reviews were so good that Furias Records showed interest in producing the first full lenght CD. Due to the success scored by the band, the first steps for the recording were taken in early 2001, with the definitive line up.

Mitternacht’s The Desolation of Blendenstein is the immediate, newest release of Furias Records, with due date estimated in 10 JUNE 2002. Mitternacht is the project of Friedrich Curwenius; The Desolation of Blendenstein could be defined as his vanguardist, impressive and timeless first work of macabre symphonic dark black metal, and includes unique vocalisations that give a definitive shape to this terrific piece.
The Desolation of Blendenstein is the title of this CD, and its main goal is to create, during its ten tracks (more than 50 minutes), an atmosphere full of pain and melancholy, anger and despair, passion and hatred, in a true display of dark suggestive avant-garde climates, where black and symphonic metal share a rare concept of ambient music, that will deeply touch you. The Desolation of Blendenstein is nothing but a story packed with shades which you will find very familiar. Immediately, you will feel as a part of this amazing story of revised and almost magic concept where space and time will be trivial around the centre of the action. Blendenstein, a forgotten shire, punished for an unnameable malignant creature... it will be upon you and your combative imagination to put this nation in the place that it deserves. Bear in mind that Mitternacht is not only music for your ears, but it is also music that will invite your mind and soul to interact, it is music for those who dare play with sounds and allow them to activate all their being in order to finish with the oversimplification and lethargy that rule today.

MITTERNACHT PROFILE AND BIOGRAPHY:
Mitternacht was created along 2001, by the conception of Friedrich Curwenius, the only member and composer. Music is mostly instrumental, with ambient voices (synth and human). Style is diverse, but centred in dark (even doom in some passages) and black melodies, with fast drums, where appear.
However, Mitternacht must be considered as involved in the ambient metal environment, with symphonic black and doom influences. There is no guitar sound in current material.
