How was "Hyper Bastard Breed" received in the underground?

Hyper Bastard Breed is very well received, the reactions are overwhelming!! Good reviews in magazines all over the world! Never could have imagined that they would be so good!!

For example metal-rules (USA) said that we were the most promosing band from 2002, never could imagine that!

How would you compare "Hyper..." with "It all..."?

There is absolutely no equal at all about "H.B.B." and "It al"

"It all...." Is a keyboard orientated album, stigmatheist was a more bombastic metal band like Bal-Sagoth. HBB is guitar orientated and no keyboards at all!! From Stigmatheist there are only three members left and patrick used to sing in Stigmatheist , in I.N.R.I he's raping the six strings and one of the main songwriters.

Why did you choose Cold Blood Industries to release your album?

We think Cold Blood Industries is a very good underground label, there doing a lot of promotion for us. And it are good guys we get a long very well. So very satisfied till now. The contract what we had with Voices of Wonder was a one album contract for Stigmatheist so we had nothing to do with them.

Why did you change your name to I.N.R.I.?

Well what i said in question 2. Three members left, new blood came, new ideas, a totally other style of music!!! That was the mean reason. Another reason was that we got sick and tired of all the people who spelled Stigmatheist wrong or prenounced it wrong. And I.N.R.I defintely fits our music better!! Short, powerful, aggressive!!

How were the songs in "Hyper..." composed"?

Patrick our leadguitarist mostly comes with the riffs. In the rehearsal room everyone adds his bit , and we fit it to a I.N.R.I song. Henri (vocals) is figuring out how he's going to sing on the song and add's the lyrics afterworth.

Your lyrics seem to be weird...what are they about?

Haha yeah your rigth our singer who's responsible for the lyrics is a strange motherfucker , i know he's got a serious problem with organized religion. takes himself and the band very serious but it has to be a party also, that's the main thing i can say about the lyrics, because for the rest i've got no fucking idea what's going on in his mind! So sometimes he comes up with titles as masturbate, candidate for the fuck of God. Isnt it great!?

Which are your main influences?

Ofcourse the Thrash, death godfathers (slayer, kreator,morbid angel, napalm death, Holy terror,obituary) but also classical stuff a little music theory is important to write good songs anyway! And nowadays i listen a lot to bands like The Crown, Malevolant Creation, Vader etc.

Do you have touring plans?

Exactly we didn't do tours yet, but we played with great bands like: Morbid Angel, Deicide, Kataklysm, Darkane and Krisiun, but also a lot of good Dutch bands like Inhume,Katafalk, The Embodiment.

We did a small tour of three days with Krisiun and these guys rule!! We want to play as often as we can and are trying to go abroad to spread or music disease.
