Pure raw black metal is the style that this band plays. The hyperspeed riffs and maniac guitar solos are their trademark. Blast beats, rotten vocals and fast bass lines are all over "Infernal Dominatio". Drummer Sir Dameon Hellstorm talk to us.

It has been more or less one year since you recorded "Infernal
Dominatio"...Has the recording been well received in the underground?

It has been received mostly well.

Your music is black metal with some influences of classical death/thrash
metal bands as Bathory, Celtic Frost, Possessed, etc. Is this a correct way
to describe your music?

Two words: Speed!!

How big was the impact that the norwegian black metal scene had on you?
When guitarist Blackthorn and I (Sir Dameon Hellstorm-drums) set the layout
of this band our intentions were on Black metal. At that time ('93) we knew
of what was happening in the underground from ex guitarist Tony whom has
always been well informed on the real European underground tape trading. We
didn't want to be a satanic death metal band, but our may concern was to be
our Loudest, fastest, and the most brutal that we could be.

How were the songs in "Infernal Dominatio" composed?
Guitars, drums, and then vocals.

Are you satisfied with the deal with Forever Underground Recs.? They
seem to be promoting your CD very well...

Fuck yes!! In fact, the label greatly represents what has been said all along.
That is the Midwest has the largest scene, but very few venues for bands. By
that I mean most labels have greatly over looked talented bands in this area.
Here we have some of the best musicians in the scene. When tours come
through, you can see just how many metal heads show up to places like Riley's
Rock House, Smiler Coogans, or House of Blues. Why is it that hardly any bars

in Chicago will book extreme bands? Reason is because the media has taken
their chances on the treading shores.

Are you considering adding a keyboardist to the lineup of Ezurate?
Hell FUCK NO!!!!!!!!!!!!! a keyboardist?!?!? why?? Are we an Opera or a metal
band?

The cover art of "Infernal Dominatio" is really dark...was the picture
of this dark castle chosen on purpose to fit the music?

Indeed

Who did this picture?
Bassist Culg-Gath Immortum

What can you tell me about Nachtmystium ?
That it has nothing to do with Ezurate

How would you describe an Ezurate concert?
An evil will of imminence and burying speed.

It seems that there are a couple of bootleg videos from your gigs
circulating....Are you considering editing one official video?

No. Those videos are from my own tapings and were traded to friends.
We play music for enjoyment, not to capitalize on commercialism.

Are your lyrics dealing with satanism and paganism? Can you explain a
little bit them?

Blackthorn's influence was upon fall angel's descent, the book of the dead.
Ezurate stays in the vein of traditional Paganism. That which Christianity
continually ravages.

Do you feel that black metal is growing in the USA? Or is the
popularity of the style completely different than in Europe?

There are many bands. A few too many. The quality as of late has been getting
better.

Something more to add??
Yes, there are great side projects of this band in Cult of Daath, Nihasa, and
the aforementioned. Thank you
