From San Nicolás, in the north of the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, comes this interesting death metal band. As usually happens with musicians from our country, financial matters are doing their work harder. But despite this they continue to get better. We talked to Guillermo Tinarelli, guitarist from the band

Tell me a little bit about the recording of "The Last Trip"

Well, regarding te recording of "The Last Trip" I can tell you that we recorded it in a 4 channel portastudio, though we could not get a good sound, we didn´t had any money. Apart from that the sound is quite good. . We recorded with Gustavo Nader, a great guitar player from here.

Have you been approached by a record label from Argentina or other country?

Well, we have been sending demos to a lot of places, and the reviews were not bad, but we did not get any offer to record. We were in an extreme compilation done by magazine Sacrilegio and Hurling Metal Records, that was our bigger approach.

Are you planning to record a new demo soon?

It is in our plans to record 1 or 2 songs most. We want it to have a professional sound, but in the moment we are only playing.

How big is the evolution of the band since the recording of "Inside"?

Well there is a big change from style to the members. In that time we were doing a really raw death metal and we were getting better in the composition, arrangements, etc. and we got equiped as well as we could.

Why did you decide to do your lyrics in english? Maybe with that you could get a bigger access to the global scene?

Well, in fact this is a purely esthetic matter, we do the lyrics in english because they fit better the music.

How did Demencia´s music change with the different guitarists?

We were a total of three different guitarists, everybody made its mark on the sound.

How different is Martin´s drumming technique compared to Gonzalo´s (previous drummer)?

They are quite similar, there are details that make the difference, both are really good drummers and really open minded.

Do you think like me that the band is more energetic live?

Yes, I think that we are a "live" band. But you have to realice that getting the energy of the band in a record is really difficult.

How have been your live experiences?

We had everything, really good shows, good ones, regular ones and bad ones.We are learning all the time. When I talk about good and bad, I am talking about the sound, the organization, etc.

What can you tell me abot the Sacrilegio magazine´s compilation?

We think that is going to be helpful to promote ourselves. I hope so.

What are your lyrics about?

The lyrics are about some persons problems, feelings, stories etc. Nothing to do with satanism or things like that.

How do you see the Argentinean death metal scene nowadays?

The scene is a little bit down now compared to other styles, but we got to keep on playing.

Something more to add?

We want to play in all places that we can, so call us and we will be there.

Federico, thank you very much for everything, til the next time. Hail to everybody!!!!!!!!!
