How has been "Expulsion received in the underground?

"Expulsion" had continuos good reviews in the Underground Magazines and also if we play the Song´s live, there are good reactions.

Unfortunably we play not so often, that´s why the sales are rather less.

How would you compare "Expulsion" with "Unbag the Cudgel"?

On "Unbag the Cudgel" we had more influences from our former Bands.

On "Expulsion" the songs were written together, they are more thrash-metal and a little bit faster. Also the production is more modern.

 

How is the process of composing a Bugen Hagen track?

mostly, i write the lyrics and maybe i have an idea for the riffing. Then we tests it out with the ideas from the other bandmembers until all parts of the song fit together.

Would it be correct to say that Bugen Hagen plays death/thrash metal or is this a little bit too narrow?

We call it " Heavy - Thrashing - Metal " , but for us it makes no difference how call it others.

Which are the band´s main influences?

I think the main influences are old Kreator, Sodom and Death.Sometimes a little bit Iron Maiden and a pinch of Punk.

How would you describe a Bugen Hagen live show?

Oh, it´s difficult to say somthing about it, because mostly of the Bandmembers were drunken...(haha). I think the fun factor is great.

Which is the equipment of the band live and in studio?

I play Sonor ( Performer ) Drums and Paiste or Sabian Cymbals.

Our Guitarplayers use Marshall Amp and B.C. Rich Guitars or Huges/Kettner Amp and Ibanez Guitars. Our Bassplayer use Hartke Amp and Yamaha Bass and our Shouter use Shure Mics.

We play all the things live and in the studio.

Is the name of the band related to the charachter in the "Omen" books?

Yes, we are all big fans of the Omen-Trilogie.
