... former members of Extrepating Extasy and Crack Brain Society founded in the Ludwigshafen Area (Germany) a new band called AB:NORM, to unite progressive music with a extreme and brutal sound. Inspired by the early 90's incredible Death-Grind-Sound, the Band enrich their own kind of music with modern styles and complex song structures and arrangements.Felix (at this time still frontman of germany's metal-act Crematory) joined the band and AB:NORM finally found the right singer. AB:NORM is not only a side-project of a famous musician, it's more a constant band, who follow their way beyond the norm and the commercial music industry.
With the line-up, Michael_bass, Martin_Guitar, Felix_vocals und Gianni_drums, the band recorded in 2000 the self-produced debut album "Inside" and released it on Show No Mercy Records. The lyrical concept is far away from the usuall blood/gore/splatter-themes. Real stories, with autobiographic notes, and even fiction with a abnormal touch is mixed together with the powerful music to a very own style, wich the band called NEXT GENERATION MUSIC.
For live performances, the band created an one-hour-show to represent their very own vision of modern and brutal music on stage. Together with the video production company
JIMMYTEX the band produced end of 2000 a outstanding and professional live-video in the famous Heidelberg Schwimmbad Club.
