The first AnoxiA chords and rhythms were made and played in Nyborg(DK) in the last part of the summer 1996. The band-line-up was: Lars Frederiksen(vocal/guitar), Søren Frederiksen(drums) and Anders(Gomme) Gommesen(Bass). By that time the band was called "Frank og Rødderne", but because of the audience and fans from the world outside Denmark, I will use the shortening "F:O:R" for the rest of this biography.

I remember our first rehersal in our small practise-room in Nyborg, which we shared with a lot of other bands from the local music-organisation called BUMS. The first day we had allready made our very first songs. We still play one of those songs today (the song called Ghost Town). The style then was not really as heavy as today but we sure had a lot of fun.

The following year we played a lot of concerts, made a lot of songs and a lot of 2-track tape recordings from our practise-room. In the summer 1997 we decided to rent a 4-track recording system. We borrowed an old mixer and a multicable and then we were ready to record. The result was not very good, but by that time we had not heard our music in that kind of quality before. It was a big step forward and the demo gave us our first "big" job at "Rytmeposten" in Odense(DK) and a hell lot of other places.

In the spring 1998 we were searching after our own practise-room. We were tired of sharing instruments with all the other bands in town and we felt that we really needed our own place were we could practise whenever we wanted it and with our own instruments that we had bought since we started. Therefore we got our own basement room in the music-building Muzirkus in Nyborg. But we were unpleased with the fact that we had to share the room with another band. Then we got in contact the band "Bad Monday"(they had a room at the second floor) and we decided to switch places so that we now had the second floor.

At Christmas 1998 we recorded a CD named "Rain Will Be Blood" in the Murzirkus-studio(engineered by Robert Hansen and Henrik Johannessen). It was an analogue studio with 16 tracks. The CD was finished the 11/5-1999 and contained the following songs: 1. Rain Will Be Blood , 2. Wrong Again , 3. When The Dark Came , 4. Innocent , 5. Beside The Mess. The CD was only made in 100 copies and therefore sold out in within a few months. We also appeared at the Metalized-Magazine CD nr. 42 with the song: When The Dark Came.

In the spring 2000 we found another member of the band. Actually I was at a party and there I saw a weird guy with long hair and mysterious heavy-cloth. We had a couple of beers together and then I just asked him if he wanted to join our band. Since then Rune Gangelhof has been a full-time member of the band.

The line-up was then: Lars Frederiksen(vocal/guitar) , Søren Frederiksen (Drums), Rune Gangelhof (guitar/backing vocal) and Gomme (bass).
In the autumn 2000 our bass-player Gomme decided to leave the band for the purpose of his education. That same Christmas 2000 we recorded a new demo in the new digital Muzirkus-studio. The producer on the CD was Jacob Hansen (Invocator) and it was engineered by Henrik Johannessen (Bad Monday). The name of that demo was and is "Far From This Time". It contained the following songs: 1. Mirage , 2. A Sharp Edge , 3. Far From This Time , 4. Black Death , 5. The Unknown Entrance. The CD got a lot of fine reviews all around the world (magazines and web-magazines). Our only problem was that we had not any bass-player for our live-gigs. By a coincidence we found the bass-champion Thomas Andersen (thanx for a great half year with us and good luck in the future!!!) and he played with us for about a half year. The last gig we played with him was "Nakkefestival 2001(definitely the best amateur festival in the world. Visit the web-page).

At Nakkefestival we found Thomas´ replacement. A guy named Nikolaj Balle. Our line-up is now: Lars Frederiksen(vocal/guitar) , Søren Frederiksen(drums) , Rune Gangelhof(guitar/backing vocal) and Nikolaj Balle(Bass). January 2002 we recorded a brand new demo containing 3 songs: Shaped like a circle , Without beauty , Kingdom. We made this demo in promotional interest.
