How is the recording of your new album going?
We plan to finish it by the end of Summer.

How different are the new songs compared to the ones in "The World where Shadows come To Life"?
There will be return to melodies of first ones and aggression of
second one.Our music become more mature than before.
As for the sound, I tried to make more difficult arrangements.
So....it's a much professional one.

How important are the clasical and folk influences in your music?
I like celtic music,but I have found attractive folk music of my
country.

How was the band formed in its beginnings?
Russian orthodox X-mas (January,7 1993) is a day when our band was
born although we existed before this day.

Have you received good reviews for "The World Where..." from all over the
world?
Yes ,we have a lot!

What do you think of the comparison that many people seem to see between
Archontes and Stratovarius?
I do not like any comparisons and believe that any band is
original by itself.Even first Queen albums some critics called Led
Zeppeline clones.
Stratovarius is a good one but I think we have our face too.

Why did you choose that drawing for the cover of "The World where Shadows come To Life"?
I thought it goes alone with conception of the album.

What do you think of your debut album "Saga of Eternity"?
Generally, I think it's a little naive
but there are good tunes there.
I could make it better now but each album belongs to its time
One thing which makes me sad about is a bad sound quality.

Which is your opinion on the Russian metal scene? It seems to be bigger
every day...
You right,there are lot of bands and styles.
I believe sooner or later they can do it!

Are you planning to rerelease your demo versions of Concerto For A
Little Darkness And Orchestra (demo version) and Holy Battle Has Begun (demo version) ?
No, these demos have nothing in common with present criteries.

Which are the main influences of the different members of the band?
I write all the material alone then each member
bring his own ideas and arrangements.

The music of Archontes seems to be really technical...How much do you
rehearse to achieve the results that you want?
Rehearse is not that important ,more important is personal
responsibilities of each musician.
