Interview with Max from Necroart(Italy),

How was "Dead Roses Parade" received in the underground?

Dead roses... has been received very well both by magazines and people, now we are very busy to promote with live concerts and interviews

How different is "Let the Carnage Begin" from "Dead Roses..."?

The first demo tape was very raw and ugly, maybe more influenced by satanic black/death metal (we were so young at the time...), I think dead roses parade is the logic follow to let the carnage begin because we are still in progress with songwriting . Also the demo was received very well in the underground and it's all sold out now.

Are you composing music for a new release in 2003?

Here's the question I was waiting for! the new songs are ugly, progressive, melodic and there are some italian folk parts inside...

we have 4 songs ready with music and lyrics ,the songs are called:LULLABYE( gothic influenced song with some Moonspell parts),THE CRIMSON MINORITY(kind of original song with Tarantella riffs from italic old traditions),L'INVERNO DELL'ANIMA-the winter of soul( My Dying Bride meets Opeth ),and the last one is still without title but inside you can find all the influences i told you before ,I hope you like them.......

How were the songs in "Dead Roses..." composed?

At first by guitar riffs and drums then vocals and last the keys, I still love the songs from dead roses but maybe they can sound a little bit old fashioned...don't you think?

How did your music change with the addition of Davide Quaroni on keyboards?

Well Davide is a genius, he is a master for the orchestration and he is also very involved in the necroart music and concept

How would you compare the music in "Dead Roses Parade" to the one that you did in Castle Kadath? Why did you change your name to Necroart?

Castle Kadath played for 2 years with different line up(only the drummer was with me in the project) we were an epic black/thrash band , inside i was the singer-bass player ,maybe that's the reason i changed name in Necroart...also because i think it's more cool and sick

How important is melody in your music?

Melody is fundamental for our music , without it there cannot exist Necroart, we wish to write songs that could annihilate all of you with tiny melodies eheheheheh

Do you have plans of live gigs for this year?

Yeeeeeees, we made 2 important gigs with our friends NOVEMBRE(i hope you know their ART),and some gigs with other extreme bands of north italy;but the most important concert has to arrive the 1st of june when we will play with Novembre(again!) and........the gods ENTOMBED!!! we are very excited for this night and hope all will be ok

Anything more to add?

I just want to thank you for the time you spent to listen our music and for the i nterview...surely you will be on the thanx list of the album STAY FUCKIN EXXXXXXXXTREMEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! CHEERS MAX
