Interview with Limbonic Art´s Morfeus. I would like to thank Anne Marie Bowman and Paula Hogan from Manic Prod. for making this interview possible.
Are you satisfied with the way "The Ultimate Death Worship" came out?
We are very satisfied with it, we wanted a really up in your face, sharp and aggressive sounding album, and I think that we acheived that to
the fullest. There are always stuff that could be changed, or done differently, but all in all I am very content.

How did you get Attila Csihar to appear in the track "From Shades of Hatred"?
That was basically a coincidence, I learned from Daemon that Atilla was in Norway, last summer, and he wanted to visit us, and see how we were doing, so Daemon met up with him in Oslo, and we spent some time together at my place, and he was just listening to us playing some new songs, and finally we jammed around a little, and this is what came out of it...

Your music has been labeled sometimes as "symphonic black metal" ...do you think that is the correct way to describe it?
I do not like to label our music at all, I think that is something that others really have to do, if a label really is needed, personally I prefer Black Metal, or Extreme metal, but somehow that seems not to be enough for most people, it has to be called something fancy... We do use sounds that are similar to a symphony orchestra from time to time (pretty often that is) but still, there are so many other sounds there too... hard to explain, let's just call it Extreme metal...

Which emotions are reflected through "The Ultimate Death Worship" songs?
Many emotions, though hapiness is not one of them...
How were the songs in the new album composed?
They were composed in many different ways, like we usually do, they are set up of very different moods and atmospheres, sometimes we start off with the guitars, sometimes with the keyboards... There are really no receipt for how the songs are done, they kind of emerge from the different moods we are in at the time, and this is challenged through to the music...

How would you compare "THe Ultimate Death Worship" with "Ad Noctum"?

Hmmm, they are 2 albums that are really difficult to compare, cause they are very different...
I think that Ad Nocum is a little more straight in the face album, very fast and furious, and The Ultimate Death Worship is a little more open in the sound, more varied in both tempo and mood I think... it still havee the same furious aggression, but in a little different way...

I know that Morfeus is really involved with the artwork in Limbonic Art´s albums. Was he involved this time too? What did he tried to express in this artwork?

I did the artwork for this album too, as I always do for L.A. I do not like to translate my art too much into words, as it does not come from words, it comes from emotions, and atmospheres, and of course the main subject in the artwork this time is death, and I tried to maybe put death as a universal solution, possibly...

Is Limbonic Art ever going to be a two men band or is there the possibility of adding some new member to the lineup?
No new members are planned or even thought about at this stage...

What are the lyrics in "The Ultimate Death Worship" about?

Daemon does all the lyrics for L.A. and it is his department solely, so I will not go much into it, as I really don't know the lyrics in depth, but in general they are dark thoughts about mankind, about life, about death, and all the dark aspects of this world, and of other worlds...

Any final thoughts?
-This is the Ultimate Death Worship, prepare.....-
