I started 20 years ago with a Xeroxil mag. When I finished my graphical
education and started working with a MACINTOSH I realized I could continue
my hobby. As I can't play any instrument (exept for my lovetrumpet) I want
to help the bands that could use my work. So started to work for the band of
my brother and slowly after that got some other projects. Things kept on
rolling and now we can offer much more than in the beginning.
Are you working only with bands or do you work with labels, distros, etc
too?
I am not working with bands alone. I also do jobs for labels. I have also
contact with some mags and help them to find distros and bands for promoting. Also in contact with some other artisits to see if we can help each other.
Which are the services that you offer to the people that decide to work
with you?
We offer three disciplines: enhanced audio CDs, internet projects and
graphic design. All of them speak for themselves.
Besides that we offer bands/labels free promotion on the site by either a
promo page (info and intie), review and/or links. We also can send an email with promo info about the band/labels to all
contacts.
Are you doing websites, for example? I saw that you have done them for
many bands...
Myself don't do websites anymore. I maintain and update the BRUTALISM site.
If bands/labels want a website they get in touch with my partner Andy who is
the internet specialist. I am working on the enhanced cds and graphic
design.
Do you work with a specific style within metal, for example black metal,
death metal, grind?
Not really. As long as it is metal. The extreme bands are prefered but I
help the other styles as well. Metal is metal.
You are also making reviews of some bands...do you make reviews and
interviews on your own? Or for example, do you send band´s material to
magazines, webzines, etc to be reviewed?
As said with Q3 I do reviews and inties on my own and only for the BRUTALISM
site. Sometimes I get questions from mags or zines who want to use my
inties. A nice example is the mag Dark Legions from Singapore
(darklab@hotmail.com).
Are you also organizing shows and stuff like that?
No because I have not the connections to that. I only have some contact with
guyz who do that and I am sending the requests of bands/labels to them for
shows.
Which do you think are the new Brutalism promotional services that will
arise in the future?
This is difficult to tell. Maybe the DVD side offers new possibilities. Also
when the internet connection is really real time you can do a lot more with
audio and video. But I have open mind, eyes and ears.
Which are your favourite bands?
As always too much to mention. But I give it a try and if I forgot someone
sorry. Deranged, Nile, Pessimist, Centurian, Ad Inferna, Pandemia, Severe
Torture, Ortank, Aborted, Occult, Disavowed, Avulsed, Spazztic Blurr,
Prophecy, Brodequin, Divine Rapture, Vehemence, Veneral Disease, etc etc. I
know I can't sleep tonight when other names enter my mind.
